1. Functions: Advising the leaders of the Authority on State management of production, business and trade activities of investment projects and infrastructure development projects in EPZs and IZs.
2. Duties:
2.1. Monitoring and analyzing the production and trading activities of investment projects and operation of representative offices of foreign traders based in EPZs and IZs.
2.2. Monitoring import-export activities of investment projects in EPZ - IZs.
2.3. Granting, re-granting, amending and supplementing certificates of eligibility for running, trading licenses for a number of goods subject to specialized management to traders located in the EPZs - IZs in accordance with laws.
2.4. Receiving and handling the suspension of operations, extension of investment progress, termination of operation of investment projects; termination of operating offices of foreign investors in the BCC contracts.
2.5. Revoking licenses for establishment of representative offices of foreign traders based in EPZs or IZs, business licenses for goods trading and activities directly related to goods trading against foreign invested enterprises and foreign investors investing in EPZ - IZs.
2.6. Managing fees for maintenance and renewal of infrastructure and public utilities in the EPZs and IZs; Developing and implementing revenue expansion plans for the Authority in accordance with regulations.
2.7. Monitoring and suggesting solutions for dealing with arising issues related to tax, credit, foreign exchange control and finance policies related to land in EPZs and IZs.
2.8. Coordinating the application of science, technology, transfer and renewal of technologies in EPZ - IZs; energy saving activities and efficiency of investment projects and infrastructure development projects in EPZ - IZs.
2.9. Receiving, collecting statistics, making synthesis, analysis of reports on investment activities of investment projects, financial statements of enterprises in EPZ - IZs.
